St. Vincent de Paul Food Drive 2024

Good Afternoon St. Vincent Families,

St. Vincent de Paul’s feast day on September 27th is fast approaching. He is known as the patron of charity, so in honor of his feast day, our school will be hosting a food drive to collect donations for Interchurch Social Services of Knox County. Food and hygiene products will be collected from September 16th to September 25th. At the moment, the pantries need peanut butter, tuna, noodles, cream soups, cereal, one box meals, and personal hygiene items most. However, any non-perishable donations would be greatly appreciated.

Donations will be collected in boxes on the stage in the gym. There is a box for each school family marked by their family saint. On September 25th, students will meet with their school families to discuss the virtue of charity and to construct symbols of their saint out of the donations. Deacon Tim will judge the symbols, bless the donations, and then deliver all donations to Interchurch with the eighth graders walking to help unload.
