Dear St. Vincent de Paul Families:
Track is a fantastic way for kids to stay active, try new activities, and build endurance for their team sports. While track is a team sport, it also offers plenty of opportunities for athletes to discover what they enjoy most—whether it’s long-distance running, field events, or sprints. Students in 4th -8th grade are eligible to participate.
I hope to hold practices on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during the week. I would ask that each child attends a minimum of two practices per week to ensure they are prepared and progressing in their events. For the first few weeks we will probably practice at St. Vincent due to cold weather temps.
Our start time will be 5:00 PM, though we are awaiting confirmation from Mt. Vernon High School regarding facility availability. Once we receive final approval, we will communicate any updates.Â
The fee is $40 per athlete and is due by March 4th. The sign up link is below. Please contact the school office if there is a financial hardship situation.
I am truly looking forward to coaching our young athletes and helping them grow in the sport. It’s exciting to provide them with the same opportunities that I had when I attended St. Vincent. I can’t wait to see their progress throughout the season!
